I'm currently running the classic A1-A4 Slave Lord series going into S2 - White Plume Mountain. Then we're hitting G1-G3 Against the Giants / D1-D2 Descent into the Depths of the Earth / D3 Against the Drow / Q1 Queen of the Demonweb Pits. Survivors will then face S1 - The Tomb of Horrors! (Bwhahahahahahahahahaha... pardon me. I digress). . . I've updated the modules for 3.5e D&D. So far we started with B4 - The Lost City and that led us into X2 - Castle Amber. We finished A1 - Slave Pits of the Undercity and are halfway through A2 - Secret of the Slaver's Stockade. I can't wait for A3 - Assault on the Aerie of the Slave Lords and then see what they do to escape A4 - In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords. (I am usuing the "tournament rules option" for it from the original GenCon X!!! running of it - I would suggest at least using that option when running or ending A3 as it will make it {and A4} more dramatic). ;-) I have run these modules for different groups of players countless times since they first came out in 1981 and they have never let me down when it comes to running a great game and entertaining the players, both "hack 'n slasher" players as well as "role players". As long as you don't mind taking the time to look for or create a conversion system for a different game system, the core stories of the modules can be run in any similar setting :-D
