Hello, I’m looking for 1-6 players for a freeform PBP game that I’ll be playing on my forums. Ideal players for this game are those who enjoy intense role-play, not just another dungeon crawl. Those who prefer a game with little setbacks to their characters and easy victories with mounds of treasure won’t likely enjoy the game. Those who like to play a Half Ogre/Half Dragon/One-Third Celestial Succubus probably won’t enjoy the game. If the idea of character driven story and plots based on moral choices made day in and day out appeal to you, however, this game should offer up some interesting challenges. I’ve decided to run the game as a freeform game. I previously ran the concept in a D20 game, but I found the system didn’t really meet my needs (Not that I don’t like D20, I do.) I was going to try the PBP using Riddle of Steel, but I’ve decided against it; I like the idea of the system for a grim and gritty game like this, but I don’t have the time to learn the ins and outs of the system. Instead, I’d like to run it freeform as most of the game lends itself to role-playing and political struggle anyway. Any combat that evolves can be handled through role-play as well. When the need for chance arises, I can take care of that. I guess what I’m looking for is the chance to create a cooperative story; I’ll set the backdrop if you set the protagonists. Anyway, if anyone is interested, or if any of you have questions, please let me know. I’ll try to answer any questions as they arise.
