Looking for RPG group north of SF/in Marin or Petaluma

If I'm running, I run D&D 4th edition or D6 Star wars.
If I'm playing, I'll play absolutely whatever game.
Just looking for a gaming group that meets on a near weekly or better basis.

Might be a long shot, but you might have luck finding a group at Gamescape in San Rafael?

Thanks. Will give it a shot. Last 2 years have really sucked. Be nice to find a gaming group that meets more than once a month, and doesn't insist on just using Discord.

It used to be so easy: check the local colleges or community colleges, or the library, or the gaming store, and there was something or someone looking to recruit or start a game. Now... None of the old ways seem to be working. People don't seem to want to leave the safety of their homes, and want to rely on Discord or Roll 20 or some other online system, and not actually have to be in the same room as other human beings.

Have you tried Meetup.com? I found my current group through that site 11 years ago and we've been gaming together ever since. I've also seen groups play on a regular basis when taking the kids to the library, but this was in South San Francisco.

I did try Meetup. Even had a group of 24 members. Of course, only 1 other person actually showed up...
Everyone else, when I asked, just wanted to use Discord, and didn't realize what "In Person Gaming Group" meant. Oh, and can they game starting at 10 on weeknights instead of noonish on weekends? Oh, and can we just play board games instead of RPGs? Of course, they didn't actually communicate any of that until I started asking for feedback after 4 sessions.
Sadly, the one guy who did show up to every session moved away.
So after a year, I shut it down.
Honestly, what's the point of joining a gaming group if they aren't going to participate? One person who joined lived down in San Diego area... wtf???
