Looking for short adventure in the mountains for a 5E 8th level party

My party ended up in the middle of nowhere in the mountains at the end an adventure and I'd like to take them through a short interlude to give time for the events of the next one to get underway. What's a good short adventure I can use?

The back of the DMG has a list of creatures organized by region (Mountains) and CR (CR's 8-10). It also has generic dungeon maps. This is a good place to get your filler, now you just need to spark up the story - which can often be inspired while looking through these.

What other factors besides the terrain are there? Is it high up in snowy peaks and/or winter or is the area forested and/or a warmer climate?

What is the survival situation? Does the party have adequate provisions and/or a skilled survival expert or are they all city folk stuck in the wilderness?
