Yep- that's definitely one way to go. The original inspiration for this PC included the concept that this guy was a bit of a moron (low mental stats except Cha, his casting stat), and was physically powerful and a leader of men...largely because of his Charisma and possibly his familial ties. To that end, the original version of the PC was to include Marshal instead of/in addition to Ftr levels. You lose the Feats & some HP, but you still get the WPS and Armor proficiencies, and you gain the various auras...including the Cha-boosting one. (Yes, it does affect the Marshal, but it only applies to Cha checks and Cha skill checks.) IOW, the original would have been something like Fighter2/Marsh3/(Battle)Sorceror15 or Marsh4/(Battle)Sorceror16, but neither Marshal nor BattleSorc were permitted classes in that campaign. For the record, I'd give a good look at the Spellsword as well. It gives you yet another way to use your spell energy in combat. However, you can also use Feats like Arcane Strike. It means only when you take your first level of Sorcerer. The Draconic Heritage line has the most number of feats, but the other ones have some nifty abilities as well. Any of them, however, fit into that whole "coming into awareness" of your abilities thing, gaining more and more power as your true nature becomes revealed over time. In addition, if you go the Infernal Heritage route, you have another wrinkle to try out. Instead of the Ftr, Marsh or Bard, you multiclass with Warlock. You have a Cha synergy, a ranged attack that never runs out, and taking the Infernal Shout Heritage Feat has the benefit of being a sonic attack- and not a lot of critters are resistant to sonics. And, of course, the Infernal Sorcerer dovetails nicely with the Warlock class fluff and how your PC is to be revealed over time...AS THE DAUGHTER OF EEEEEEEEEEEEVIL! Which, of course, doesn't mean she has to be evil herself- consider Hellboy and Lucy, Daughter of the Devil.
