"Allright, here's what I make out of this. There are four different animals we are hunting: the necromancer, Sir Revenir, the ogres and this "large beast" the local lord went after. We have no trail for this necromancer, but following Revenir or the ogres should lead us to him. At the moment we've lost Revenir's trail. We could try to pick it up again, but it would be a long, difficult process with no guarantee of success. We know where to pick up the ogre's trail. They are slow and stupid, and should be easy to track. The problem is that they are powerful. Some of us almost lost our lives, and we are fewer now than we were then. From what little we know, I'm guessing this large beast is relatively close and shouldn't be difficult to track. Its possible, but unlikely, that there may be some survivors from the lord's party in need of rescue. It also appears to be the more immediate threat. So I suggest we offer to go after this local beast first. If we can slay this beast and return the lord ,or his remains, to his people they may reward us with better equipment or more hunters. That will leave us better prepared to face our undead foes, who should still be fairly easy to track. Unless it rains."
