I was at a few Best Buys and Sam's Club the other day and didn't see a extended edition of the Lord of the Rings series. Is that planed for latter or is it a buy 'em individually type deal?

They had them at my local Best Buy and other places I went into that had the EE DVD's for sale. Not sure how many each store got though.

I was lucky to get one, walk in at SunCoast in the Manhattan Mall (NY), saw the worker I knew by face and asked, there were none on display, but I did not panic.

The returning anwer was, maybe, check the back, there is box laying by there, that might have some.

To the back we went...the box was checked.

And the precious was clasped wantonly into my waiting hands. He stated the price dropped, and therefore, it was at a moderate buying point to attain...a price was I willing to pay no matter what.

Good fortune and good hunting, and have patience, it will be your's...soon.

Edited:Mine was $69.00... I was indeed fortunate. :)

I bought the SE trilogy at the local Wal-Mart on Tuesday. They had four or five of them. Their online retailer, Walmart.com, was out of stock on Wednesday

I walked into Wal-Mart on Wednesday, and they had about half-a-dozen copies.

For $85.

That's only $5 more than Amazon, and a good $30 less than retail.

Yes, I nearly melted my debit card, I swiped it so fast. ;)

Best Buy had it for $72 last Tuesday. I bought one for my brother-in-law. And the RotK EE was $22 last Tuesday; today it was $29 in the same store. I didn't think to check the price tag on the EE trilogy today.
