Lords of Madness feature the coolest monster ever!

The Zeugalak.

Name is so-so, aspect is nonsensical (as expected from an aberration), the challenge they pose isn't that especially nifty...

... But they're fun-loving monsters, and that's just great!
Zeugalaks are especially active during thunderstorms, and cavort atop mountain peaks during such weather. Their terrible bellows of delight when they are struck by bolts of lightning can carry for miles. When struck, they use their electrical teleportation ability to teleport high into the clouds above so they can enjoy the long feather fall back to the ground below through the surrounding storm.

Sheer coolness.

My birthday is tomorrow and I know what book has just jumped to the top of my "must buy" list. :D Thanks for that, Gez!

You oughta check out the Zug from Liber Bestarius (Eden Studios.) They are a bigger goblin offshoot that loves to fight war, not out of hate or need of resources, but out of sheer delight!

Yeah, but it's still not as cool a hobby as getting shot by lightnings, teleporting to the cloud that's the origin of said lightning, and then feather falling back to the ground.

Killing things for the thrill of it is kinda cliché anyway.

You know, if I too were immune to electricity-based damage, I'd love to do the same thing. Weeeeeee!

I saw that and instantly fell in love with this monster. That's the sort of cool little quirk I like to see in flavour text.

Actually, LoM was full of such things. How can you top performace eating!?
