More time to study. You no longer are tied to a specific night or a specific time. Heck you can miss an entire season of the show and watch it later. 2. You become the sensetive guy. Your significant other can watch whatever they want to on tv, because it doesnt matter, you'll watch your show later, uninterupted. 3. Save on renting movies.  Tivo has a cool way of scanning for things you enjoy, like some creature flick on at 3 a.m.. You tape it, and on some boring day or movie night you flip through your tv movies and pick something. I do this all the time with japanese horror movies. You get all this for just 20 bucks a month, cheaper if you buy ahead of time. Most of the deals even throw in the equipment free. And all you need is a home phone line (which connects once a week to get updated programing).  Voila.</blockquote>
