I appreciate the convincing. :) Trust me, you really don't need to convince me - if I had the money, I would definitely buy it, no hesitation. Like I said, money is tight. Twenty a month doesn't really seem like a lot - until you've got to choose whether or not that twenty dollars is better spent on food or luxury. I don't mean to sound dramatically emo, though even I can see I am being so, a bit. However, that stereotype about grad students scrounging for food and getting all the free stuff they can is completely true. It's unfortunate, but most post-undergrad work, be it med school or law school or PhD, doesn't pay much at all. Maybe if we got paid more, there'd be more incentive to continue education past undergrad. I don't rent movies (no VCR :p) , and I barely watch TV, because I already spend all my time studying and doing research. I'll go out and watch the occassional movie, but that's pretty much it. I barely watch TV - Lost, Heroes, and Scrubs are pretty much all I watch regularly. I dropped cable because I wasn't using it, and that was money better spent on food. Heck, I don't even post here as much as I used to. Anyway! Lost! If Charlie could make it down to the moon pool, he can definitely make it back up. Swimming up is a lot easier than swimming down. Natural buoyancy will propel us upwards, unless we're weighed down (ie, Charlie and the weight belt). There has to be another reason for them being down there aside from being stranded. That said, I don't doubt they've been there since the sub exploded. Getting someone back down there would be a chore. Furthermore, I don't think the transmission was being jammed until after they found out about the phone. So, either Juliet is a liar (very likely) or misinformed by Ben (maybe). After all, if they started jamming the signal, per Juliet, then the station couldn't really have been flooded, could it have?
