"Hurley"... We still don't know Hugo's background story... When being interviewed, remember that Hugo says that he had been a bit of trouble to his family, lately... Then, we see him at the psychiatric hospital (?), trying to get in to see "Lenny", where the doctor recognizes him... Then we see him get arrested, and his stock broker (?) lets us know that it was for "looking like a drug dealer". We don't know that he wasn't. This may be the trouble that he was referring to. He could also have been a gang member, and hence "something of a warrior", which might also explain being "spry". For all we know, "Sawyer" and "Hurley" could have been locked up, or in court, together, and Jack could appear in an earlier part of his backstory. If anyone has it on Tivo, you might want to look for Jack in the background, at the hospital... Now, what about the origins of the name "Hurley". I can think of three possibilities: 1) Hurly-burly. He is a big guy, and that could be the origin of the name. I doubt this, as it's pretty ridiculous. 2) He threw something. He could have been a pitcher, for instance. Or he could have thrown tantrums. He doesn't have the build for baseball, and throwing tantrums wouldn't tend to get you named "Hurley". Maybe if you hurled dishes, or something... 3) He threw up a lot, when recovering from drug use... If that's the case, though, I can't see why he wouldn't have told Charlie, right off. So, what? None of the options makes sense? :p Anyway, there's more the Hugo/"Hurley" than meets the eye, and we still don't have the background story on this guy... There's a lot more to come, on him! As for Pandora's Box, remember: at this point, all that's left inside is Hope! :p
