Message: <blockquote data-quote="Demmero" data-source="post: 3388773" data-attributes="member: 13641">I recently rewatched season one, and in the episode in which Rousseau captures Sayid he asks her about the cable that heads out into the water and apparently powers her little hideout.  Danielle replies to the effect that that station is now controlled by the Others.  Later, though, when Sayid asks if Danielle's ever seen the Others she shook her head and said that she'd only heard their voices whispering.  If that's the case...how does she know the Others control her power source?I thought her reaction to the house (this is the kind of thing she avoids to stay alive or something to that effect) was kind of strange--how did she know that her Alex wouldn't be found in that house?  Also, she was advocating killing Sayid's captive...seemingly what the Others would want to protect their secrets.  Yet she didn't kill Ben straight off when she nabbed him in one of her traps....I really hope Rousseau's not an Other deep undercover, but I'm seeing a few red flags.  Hopefully you're right and she just knows more than she's letting on for whatever reason.</blockquote>
