The tower in the complex was broadcasting Hugo's numbers before Danielle changed it and of course the hatch numbers so it seems evident to me that the numbers are important to whatever sort of installation the island actually is.My second assertion is that all that gear was already down in that shelter when Desmond arrived and he took it over for protection. Sealing himself and quarenting off the island as others have suggested.</blockquote>
