Heheh. I didn't actually see a flame (not that it wasn't there) from the lighter. She wants off the island big time, so I'm not surprised that she was entrusted to do such a simple (but important) task. She's gotta be good for something, right? A sign of a great series if you ask me. You got the whole range of emotions right there. :) Terry O'Quinn is awesome and this is one of his best roles. He's got that hint of darkness under everything like he is working on a slightly higher level than everyone else. You seem to be a little more into the transmission than I am but it is one of the best parts of the show. I want to know more about Sayid, myself. See me comment about Boone above. I didn't have a huge issue with it after giving it a little thought. As for Kate, she obviously has very strong feelings for Jack. She has proven to lead with her heart and gut from day one. Not to mention that out of anyone on the island, they seem to have the strongest natural bond (although I could see Charlie and Locke eclipsing it later in the series). As for leaving Sawyer alone, she doesn't like being around him anyway. She may be tough but she is still human. It's surprising the kinds of stupid things people will do for those that they love. This includes ignoring the needs of others and your own well being. Next week looks like a barn burner. I can't wait!
