It all depends on how the game plays. With the exception of the GB/A games, I've felt (read: opinion) that since LttP that the Zelda series just felt less and less like... well, like Zelda. Don't know how to explain it better. I don't think it made the transition to three dimensions as well as it could have.

In counterpoint, Metroid Prime felt like I was playing a Metroid game, despite the switch to three dimensions. Didn't feel any different than the original, or Super Metroid.

I hear you. The ambience made the game, especially when you fight the Space Pirates. I hate the Pirate Laboratory with every fibre of my being.

I can't wait until November, when Metroid Prime 2 comes out.
