I have never been a miniatures guy. Never had the time or money to collect them, never had the time or money to paint them. At best, I've used cardboard heroes and counters (which I like.)
The new minatures are very liberating for me. I can purchase them cheaply, not worry about painting (which is often better than I could muster.) They don't need special containers above a pencil box. The Entry Box has tiles (I love tiles!) and little cards with the stats (I love cards!) I think this product is brillant.
I note that most of the complaints seem to come from people with previous miniature experience. I'm not surprised that you feel that way. These miniatures are aimed more at the non-miniature buyer like me, than the veterans.
So, my thumb is way, way up.
