In embracing someone, they take your soul as you take them in your arms. Nobody can forgive you, absolve you, pardon you, and cleanse your sins like <em>her</em>. It is absolution you seek, the ability to sleep at night with your sins, knowing there is someone somewhere who knows you intimately and still doesn't realize the monster you are. You'll do anything to protect her, for she decorates your thoughts constantly.</p><p></p><p><strong>Prerequisites:</strong> </p><p>In order to become one of Love's Forgiven, a character must meet all of the following criteria:</p><p><strong>Base Attack Bonus:</strong> +6</p><p><strong>Sense Motive:</strong> 3 ranks</p><p><strong>Special:</strong> Must have partaken in an act that regretting which has come to ruin the character's life, and found absolution in a single lover. Should she become killed, the character is wracked with his own guilt again, losing all Love's Forgiven class features and recieving a -2 morale penalty to all attacks, saves, and checks until he can either see to their ressurection or [twisted i know, but been there, done that, got the t-shirt] find a surrogate lover, another person to forgive them. Should a member of this class hurt their lover, the aforementioned penalty applies until she forgives him. Even a surrogate lover only reduces this penalty to -1.</p><p></p><p><strong>Class Skills</strong> </p><p>Bluff (Int), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Innuendo (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis).</p><p></p><p><strong>Skill points at each level: 2 + Int Modifier.</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Hit Dice: d10.</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Class Features</strong></p><p>The following are the features of Love's Forgiven prestige class:</p><p></p><p>(Ftr BAB, Good Will Saves)</p><p></p><p><strong>Weapon and Armor Proficency:</strong> Love's Forgiven gain no new weapon or armor proficiencies.</p><p></p><p><strong>The Dangling Conversation:</strong> At 1st level, Love's Forgiven and his lover can speak in a language of innuendoes and facial expression that is unique to them. Essentially, they always succeed at innuendo and sense motive checks against each other, and therefore automatically fail at attempts to bluff each other.</p><p></p><p><strong>You Monster!:</strong> As a quasi-redeemed villan, one of Love's Forgiven gains the listed bonus on damage rolls against beings who have committed sins for which love has pardoned him.</p><p></p><p><strong>Paranoid Defense (Ex):</strong> At 3rd level, Love's Forgiven has mastered keeping his lover defended, and as long as he is within 10 feet of her, he may choose to switch positions with her and accept an attack directed at her. Doing so is a free action that may be done in reaction to an opponent's action and costs him an attack of opportunity.</p><p></p><p><strong>Absolution's Touch(Sp):</strong> At 5th level, the Lover of the Forgiven may affect a <em>Cure Light Wounds</em> spell as cast by a cleric of their own hit dice on the Forgiven by holding them for an hour, be it in conversation or the uneasy silence of guilt.</p><p></p><p><strong>Vigilant Reflexes:</strong> a 7th level Love's Forgiven has become extremely adept at staying in the fight all while making sure his lover is safe in the same melee! He gains the Combat Reflexes feat. If he already has it, he may make an additional 2 attacks of opportunity.</p><p></p><p><strong>Faultless Defense:</strong> If a 9th level Love's Forgiven is next to his lover and an opponent attempts a melee attack against her, the Forgiven may attempt a pre-emptive attack of opportunity against the offender.
