[QUOTE="RMcCall, post: 6276995, member: 6774892"] Now that we've got a few characters fleshed out, I'll fill you in on theme traits. Basically, in addition to the stuff your theme normally grants, you get a roleplaying benefit like the D&D Next backgrounds have. Here are the ones for Elandra and Howl's themes. [sblock=Wizard's Experiment (Halaster's Clone)] While the purpose of your creation is a mystery to you, you have some unusual powers because of it. While you are in a large town or city, you have the ability to analyse the psychic marks left when many people are thinking about the same issue. Sometimes this means learning about problems that the city has been having, sometimes knowing what has changed in the recent weeks, and sometimes even picking up clues about a quest you are trying to complete. The information you get from this ability ranges from specific to vague, depending on how precise and multitudinous the thoughts on each subject are. This ability does not let you read minds on an individual basis. In addition, you can use the abandoned laboratory as a base of operations. It is well-hidden enough that you can rest there without having to worry about being bothered. There are many unused magical tools there that, if you can figure out what they do, could aid you in your adventures.[/sblock][sblock=Spellscarred Harbinger] Your magical scar is both a curse and a blessing. The scar connects you to others who were affected by similar magical energy, across space and even dimensions. If you focus during an extended rest, you can attempt to contact such a person and speak to them from a distance. You can contact specific other spellscarred if you have already met them in person. In your adventures, you have discovered a secret organization of spellscarred who have banded together in the face of distrust from regular people. They provide shelter and food to those in the city in return for services based on your talents (in your case, adventuring). They can provide you information and basic equipment, and could lead to new connections with other talented spellscarred.[/sblock]If you don't like your trait, feel free to propose ideas of your own!
