Maybe a +1 on one effect and a -1 on another, a special technique or two (such as a grab, trip or other effect) using the normal rules but assumed as part of the attack or whatnot.</p><p></p><p>Basic types would be offensive attacks ("Slice Across the Belly", "Straight Punch", "Pimp Slap", etc.), defensive moves ("Dodge", "Block", "Intercept", etc.) and counters ("Reversal", "Slippery as a Pig", etc.). Each person could customize their deck based on the weapons their using and their "fighting style". A monk's deck would look vastly different from an archer's deck, which would look completely different from someone using a two-handed sword. Of course, the DM's deck would have to be generic to account for all the different creatures he could throw, but he might be able to slip a special card in there or two ("Stunt").</p><p></p><p>I know this would require a lot of work, but I think it would be fun to try out. I'd certainly like to hear any thoughts on it or proposed abilities that would be good for certain combat styles.</p><p></p><p>Heck, this might even work for certain non-combat events, such as diplomatic encounters or chases.</p></blockquote><p></p>
