I totally mis-anticipated the thread based on the title.
I thought it was about how to have PCs enjoy/seek "luxuries" in a D&D world, and what those luxuries would be?
Impossibly good food
Perfectly fitting clothes that never dirty and feel incredible on the skin?
Exotic mount
Infernal/Celestial drugs?
What?
The drug one is also a nod that a lot of luxuries are, ah, adult, and caution has to be used there not to disturb more reserved or younger players.
As far as a "credit reward" system, perhaps look into Zeitgeist? You are essentially agents of the crown in that adventure path.
