[M&M] The Spirit of 76 (2076)

Gospog

First Post
I am currently playing in a post-apocalptic Mutants & Masterminds game with an excellent GM.

This is my character, the Spirit of 76. He is sort of like Ghost Rider 2099, but is actually possessed by a demon, much like the Johnny Blaze version of Ghost Rider (oh, and no motorcycle).

I used a link because the picture is quite large, and I didn't want to hose anyone's browser.

So if you want to see the mini, please click the links.

And if anyone knows how to resize the pics, feel free to do so and post. Thanks.

Oh, and feedback always appreciated.

Who is this guy?

The campaign world we play in has been the victim of an apocalypse brought about by super powered beings clashing, causing natural dissasters, etc...

The nations of the world have been cast down, and super powered despots rule in thier place. America has been particularly hard hit, with several factions fighting for control of the once-great nation.

Dave Omaha was a patriot and jingoist when the Super-Apocalypse occurred in 2076. He was really angry about what had become of America, the country he loved so much. He wanted his freedom back. He wanted peace. But most of all...he wanted revenge.

One night, in a dream, "Abe Lincoln" appeared to him, offering him the chance to take on "a ghostly burden", and the power to set things right. Dave signed on the line (in his own blood), and was posseessed by a vengeance demon (a "patriotic spirit") and became the Spirit of 76 (2076).

Now, when he sees America being trampled by the super powered beings who should be protecting it, the Spirit rises, and he is transformed into a scary metal skeketon with a chainsaw (please see picture). His right hand drips with the blood of every American slaughtered by the hand of injustice.

In his first adventure (last week), he assembled his crack team of Freedom Fighters and shut down a Machine-God Cult in Detroit. He plans to continue growing the resistance movement until he can challenge the tyranical despots who are crushing the USA under thier super-powered heel.

I'm working on typing up the character stats.

After the first game, the GM and I started working on changing the character stats slightly, to better match the way the character is portrayed.

Also, I got rid of his flame-spewing motorcycle. Great idea, but it just wasn't nescessary.

When I have complete stats, I'll post them.

Here you go...

Spirit's front:

Spirit's back:

That seems like a good manageable size -- hopefully it's not too small.
