This is more a curiosity than anything else, and I am looking for opinions, but has anyone ever tried coverting WotC Magic: The Gathering into a rpg???

Is it possible???
I don't know, I am only curious because lately a friend of mine and myself have been working on possible conversions of the game to d20, and with the game mechanics of the system and the different books and spells available, the possibility is there for a game like that. Besides, I don't play the card game and instead of paying over $200.00 to get into the game a single book that covered the world and many of the basic spells for a group of people sounds much better to me.
But, I am curious. What do you think?
