On Nikos’ 13th birthday he had an accident that nearly took his life. Then a burst of pure white radiant light filled the hospital room from within him. He was instantly healed and brought back to consciousness. Niko was an orphan living in a placement program. The BAI took an interest to the child and monitored Niko closely until he graduated from college. Eventually Niko realized he had a spark of the divine within him and could will effects into existence. He realized his calling by the time he was 15 and was approached by the IASC. They took him from the placement program and spared no expense in developing his budding abilities. By the time Niko was 18 he had mastered the divine in such a way that he could use divine spells without the need to prepare them ahead of time.His studies in other fields also allowed him to develop his social skills and he impressed the IASC so much with that that they devoted the resources to seeing if he could excel at infiltration. He did fairly well and though he struggled a bit at it he became increasingly better.When Niko turned 21 his studies landed him a position within the BAI, with help from the IASC. His divine talent and inquisitive nature makes him an excellent guardian, defender and healer of the downtrodden.
