Magic item creation.

I want to create or have created a magic item for my Bard in the new campagin Im in. Can anyone suggest all the prerequisites and maybe a cost to create as well as a market price?

Symbol of the Gods.

This Silver medallion looks like a holy symbol of any random God when first found. However it it capable of changing both size, shape and material to be come an appropriate holy symbol of any God desired. One mearly touches the symbol while thinking of the desired god and the symbol will transform itself. Transformation requires one full round.

I'd not allow "any" material, but either make it one material or allow a specific, limited list. And the item itself would be, say, 50gp, CL 1, prereq: mending. To allow silver: 75gp, gold, 100gp, etc.

Would it seriously matter what material it is made out of except for RP purposes? I can see that you can decide how much damage a symbol takes depending on whether it is metal or wood, but stuff like silver, gold, etc?

Right, I2K.

*Maybe* price it as a 0th level spell, continuous (no price adjustment), on a slotted item: 2000gp * 1* 1/2 = 1000gp. Such a price probably means it can be of nearly any material, so long as the size is still "typical holy symbol".

For pure RP, it doesn't matter. But, change it to some material worth 1 million gp and sell it and it's a problem. :)

It helps to contemplate such abuses of items. Surely, the OP doesn't plan to do so, or maybe she does, but my price is far more lenient than Nail's and it shows that I do in fact recognize the item is pure RP.

I say "any" appropriate material because maybe a specific faith has a specific material that they make their Holy symbols out of and I want it to be able to pass for authentic. I plan to do a lot of impersonating with my Bard.
