Occasionally, I'll play around and create magic items that I'll never see in a module unless I make one myself (unlikely) or convince someone to put it in theirs (equally unlikely). I was wondering what kind of magic items people have created for NWN but never had the opportunity to put in a module themselves. As well, subject to approval of course, I would like to suggest an Items of Legend contest. Basically, create a magic item. It must be waerable. It can be a weapon or armour, clothing, etc. You can give it whatever powers you want. Bear in mind, that mere item power is not enough to win the contest. The judging is primarily about creativity. You have to make it interesting. A descriptive history is also required ( ie. name, possible origins, owners of note, current fate, etc.). The Prize would be to have your Item of Legend included on the server. If possible, be exclusive to a character. Only 1 in existence... To reiterate: *SUBJECT TO APPROVAL* - the item must be wearable/equipable. - It can be as weak or as powerful as you want. - It must enhance the experience. Just because it can kill everything, doesn't mean it enhances the game. Give it some flavour. - the item MUST have a descriptive history. Again, flavour is the key. Not too much or too little... say 300 word maximum. - Be Creative If anyone has any suggestions or ideas to make this better, let me know. If this happens, I'll make a new thread where entries will be submitted. Rules will be posted in the new thread as well if and/or when it happens. (crosses fingers)
