I have, in my game world, a single druidic organization (continent wide). All members of the order (and my homebrewed druid class for PCs) begin play with/receive: Druidic Regalia: There is a cloak, medallion [in the shape of the organization's official symbol/seal] clasp, and the druids' sacred "Leaftip" spear [a normal spear with a leaf shaped blade]. The Druid's Cloak [which must be clasped with the medallion to function]: affords bonus protection to elemental energy [fire/heat, ice/cold, and lightning, only] damage. In converting for a 5e game, I guess I would turn this into formal "resistance" to these damage types. Further, it allows "Blending" in natural surroundings...so how would that translate?...Advantage on Stealth/Hiding checks?...even in full view....in natural surroundings [Trees, obviously, work...a wooden beam in a house would not. Tall grasses work, thatching on a roof does not. Rocks/natural cavern walls work, a stone wall/construction does not.] They can not move or make noise for this blending-camouflage to work, though it will block heat-sensitive vision or olfactory senses [as most animals have]. But not sound, so any movement [e.g. wildshaping], attacks, attempts to spell cast, obviously, break the enchantment. The spear, and ONLY a consecrated "Leaftip" druid's spear, the druid can "charge" the spear with natural magic energies to allow it to strike creatures normally resistant or immune to non-magical weapons. This "channeling" [of a sort] is +1 per 3 levels...for 5e purposes, I expect a static +1 should suffice...maybe a scaling +1 per 5 levels? I add a cauldron [makin' potions] and torc to the regalia at higher [anytime 10+] levels...the torc's really just a spell augmentor/allows speech (and thus casting) in animal form and is dependent on the druid's place in the organization [yes, it's very much 1e-ified, in that you have to "challenge" your way up beyond a certain point, though does not require battles to the death]. Off the top of my head, enchanted/magic scimitar, just for attack bonuses...but that's kind of boring. Returning maybe? Call it the "Flying Fang" blade or something. How about, tooootally stealing the old Dragonlance "hoopak", a sling (or steal it outright and make it a "staff-sling") that produces a whistling shriek when it is whirled, forcing saves against fear...and making your sling stones count as magical weapons, of course. Any/all "boots of" things are great for druids. A cloak or, OO! How 'bout, leather[hide, furs, whatever] armor made of blink dog hides...allows a few Misty Steps per day. Torcs, though, could be taken in a bunch of direction....torc of underwater breathing? Torc of animal speech? Plant speech? Torc of animal/bird/reptilean/plant command?
