The Ring of Air Conditioning is something of a staple of my campaign. Pretty much, it's just endure elements: heat, with protection against sunburn added, but sooo very useful for deserts, rainforests, etc. Some NPCs were using them to preserve corpses as well. We've also got the Bridle of Reducing Creatures, good for transporting the two horses, two mules, and riding dog my party keeps around aboard ships and such. It reduces any creature of large or smaller size to tiny size as long as the bridle is worn. The creature's nuitritional needs shrink as well. Not that funny, but useful, especially if you're trying to transport an army by ship. Also, the cleric had a long, long quest to get a chunk of iron hit by lightning so he could have a magnetic ever-burning rock to stick to the front of his armor. He was also the one to go after the self-cooking shishkabob knife...heat metal + an obsession with shooting wildlife = weird trail cuisine. As far as self-cleaning toilets go, it's not a magic item, but IMC there's a city of dwarves with their own take on a sewer system. They've got a system of tunnels and vertical shafts, with a toilet seat and a bucket of water in a closet at the top of each shaft. In the tunnels are captured oozes. Dwarf does his business, washes the shaft out with the bucket of water, ooze gets a meal of prime "organic material". If my pcs keep acting up, I may have the dwarf king accidentally flush his jewelry down the toilet one of these days and pay them to play plumber. Heh... ::evil grin::
