He used what God had provided at hand. The Jawbone. a case can be made for the power of God in the item. but since it is never again mentioned we will never know. perhaps God's power placed in Samson's weapon was retracted after the battle. perhaps the weapon was consumed by God's power. perhaps it was just a simple jawbone.</blockquote>
