Major Diaspora NPC question (Spoilers)

I've got a PC in my game who is an Eladrin woman who has no knowledge of existing since before the Great Malice. She has theorized that she was trapped in another dimension for 500+ years and just popped back into existence. She joined the party around the beginning of Summer, 500 AOV, having been found wandering in the Cloudwood.

How much would it disrupt the future plot of Zeitgeist if she were actually Kasvarina Varal? (I'd probably change her name? Or maybe Kasvarina was a nom de conspirateur and she's forgotten it? details to be sorted out later.) I can deal with modifying Diaspora itself to being "help your fellow PC get her memories back." I just want to make sure there are no major world-turning plans for Kasvarina after Diaspora.

Honestly, as cool this plot may be, I have troubles believing Obscurati would not realize that their founding member is hopping around in Flint RHC all the way till adventure 8. And likewise I doubt that they will have any problems abducting her as soon as they know it. Maybe she was trapped in another dimension, like Gidim from third module?

IIRC, you're in adventure 4 now?

If you retcon your PC into being Kasvarina -- . . . actually, Summer showed up during adventure 2, right? Are you actually going for the odd time-loop idea you proposed last year? Because if she is Kasvarina, you have her showing up a day or two before (at least in-canon) she had her memory wiped by Alexander Grappa. That could be tweaked easily enough; just remember to have the golem-Grappa say that he escaped and a few days later there was an earthquake, instead of him escaping during the quake.

In Adventure 5, Asrabey shows up, and he definitely would recognize Kasvarina. Unless she disguises herself somehow, that would throw a giant wrench into the assumed plot. Maybe it could work?

Hm. Asrabey shows up, sees that Summer is Kasvarina, and after they deal with Ekossigan he wants to delve into the Bleak Gate facility in hopes of restoring her memories. Likewise the golem-Grappa would recognize her, and explain that he locked away her memories to return her to the woman she once was, before she took a dark path. He'd warn her not to try to unlock her memories, lest her personality be overwhelmed by that of her older self.

When they get to the Bleak Gate facility, Leone recognizes her (and Tinker Oddcog would too). The steelshaper begs her to come back. Perhaps after the fight Asrabey says he'll go to Elfaivar to seek a way to restore her memories, which lets her stay with the party.

The next time it would become an issue would be adventure 7, when at least one of the ambushes would be intended to take Summer/Kasvarina alive. The secret meeting of Ob leaders to discuss finding Kasvarina would change. It'd be more of "We need to find her because she can get control of the colossus. But we do know where her old husband is; go capture him, and perhaps we can use him for leverage."

Then adventure 8 would start with Summer getting a Skyseer vision that Asrabey knows how to restore her memories. Find him, and he points to the lost arc of Reida.

Would that be workable?

That's definitely workable.

They're in the Crypta Hereticarum right now. Ashima-Shimtu will recognize her, of course, but will be all cryptic about it, just barely hinting at this plotline.

She has been traveling in disguise, so there's every chance people will fail to recognize her. At a basic level, she's been disguising herself as an elf, and she's been stocking up on the bluff and disguise-bonus items. She also has more invisibility and escape items than anyone else in the party, which could be her subconscious telling her to hide, change her face, and get away. If someone recognizes her, I could see this player wanting to disguise herself even more, which could help at awkward times where it would throw things too far off the rails if someone recognized her.

This is definitely looking promising.

One week hiatus for Phoenix Comic Con will give me more time to scour the adventures and work out the particulars. :D

Now I'm tempted to retcon my elf player into Kasvarina just because all of this sounds amazing.

Probably would be a bit ham-handed of me by this point :P
