Making PC for new player... I have 30 minutes. Help please!

We have a new 3.5 Eberron campaign starting up tonight, and I just found out that a brand new newbie player will be joining us. I've got most of his character made up, but I need help with some final selections. He needs to be done in the next 30 minutes. Note that this is going to be an investigation game with very little combat. Here's what's set in stone:

Human Warlock 3/Master Inquisitive 2
Feats: Investigate
Invocations: Beguiling Influence, All-Seeing Eyes

There are a few house rules in play, such as all skills are class skills and +2 skill points per level. What can you recommend to finish him up?

I got him done with a couple minutes to spare. I ended up giving him Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot to finish up his feats. For gear I gave him a +1 mithril shirt, foefinding goggles, +1 cloak, feather fall ring, and a healing belt. He ended up being redonkulously effective at the investigation stuff, and more than adequate at the fighting of ninjas.
