One player wanted to play a female half-elf for the sake of the social stigma, which I thought would lead to some nice tension and conflict in the party. But her personality was heavily influenced by a desire to hide who she was, so she pretended to be a male human. And she didn't talk to the other PCs much, so really I just ended up with a player playing a boring fighter.</blockquote>
