I don't really understand this... What's with all the "thank yous" for deciding to go back on an utterly stupid idea? I mean, suppose I made the -best- boca burger in the world, so good that everyone loved it, even if they didn't usually like those vegetarian alternatives. But then I decided, ya know what, I'm gonna make it so my boca burger can only be used with XYZ Brand condiments and buns, which don't taste nearly as good as most readily available condiments and buns, but come with the nifty ability to automatically make leftovers inedible so that you can't save some for a midnight snack, and you also can't give a bite to your friend. After a couple weeks, I realize it was a stupid idea, and start allowing my boca burgers to be eaten however you please. So are you then going to thank me for deciding to change my mind about intentionally make my product far worse, less useful, and less desirable? My feelings: Monte, you've already lost a lot of respect in my eyes just from "going over to the dark side" in the first place. You have not redeemed yourself in any way, all you've done is gone back to the way you once were, except now you've pissed me off once before to boot. I could see myself possibly trusting you again if you gave a public and profuse apology and denouncement of DRM, but even then you would only be back to square one. I'm reminded of Bart Simpson, in trying to come up with ways to save the family money, decided he's start smoking and then quit. Homer replied, "Good for you, boy! It's the hardest thing you'll ever do. Here's a dollar."
