Message: <blockquote data-quote="malladin" data-source="post: 1286858" data-attributes="member: 8230">Malladin's Gate Press would like to announce a competition for all fans of our DarkLore campaign setting.We would like you to create a DarkLore character and show us their abilities at second, fifth, eighth, eleventh, fourteenth, seventeenth and twentieth level.  The only magic items included should be those gained from Heirloom advantages.  We'd also like a bit of character history and ideas of their appearance and personality.  You can create PCs or NPCs, Good guys or bad, its completely your choice.So, what's up for grabs for the winners?  Well, there are two levels of prizes and no fixed limit for the mumber of winners - if we like your character you will win something.All winning entries will appear in some form as part of our forthcoming supplements for the DarkLore Campaign.  It could appear as one of the sample characters that form part of one of the example adventuring parties or a major villain that will be included in the expanding metaplot and supporting fiction.  Alternatively, they could appear as an NPC in a given region -perhaps a leader of a secret society or ruler of a small duchy.  In terms of physical prizes, you will recieve a copy (PDF) of all products in which we use your character, plus if we use them in the metaplot you will also recieve a copy of any two books (PDF) from our back catalogue of your choice.Given that we will be publishing your character we want to recognise your contribution and give you some legal ownership of the character (and hence the ability to use them yourself in any future puiblication you might want to make yourself).  Hence we will make each character a specific product identity owned by the contributor and maintain that that character is used with permission within the DarkLore supplements in question.  You will also get an 'Additional Writing' credit in the books in which your character appears.All entries to be sent to <a href="mailto:ben@malladinsgate.com">ben@malladinsgate.com</a>.  Competition closes on the 31st January 2004.The DarkLore Campaign Primer, which includes all you need to build a DarkLore character, is available from <a href="http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=2146&" target="_blank">RPGNow</a> for only $5.00, and all proceeds go towards helping support ENWorld.Awaiting your entry with anticipation,Ben Redmond, Malladin's Gate Press</blockquote>
