He should have 1000 xp, and...mmm...I'm not sure about the equipment. Anybody got a DMG handy? How much cash for starting equipment at 2nd level?And, of course, a background is needed. You could have your guy having known Chongo, but it's more relevant that he know at least one of the other PCs.
