Re: Bloodstone adopted by FR.. :) // This post might contain spoilers so // don't read to the end if that's a // concern to you. The original Bloodstone Wars module shipped with a large hex map, larger than the current FRCS map, that was quite detailed and referred to the hex in question IIRC. I had just switched from DM to player for a while so I no longer have access to the module in question. It's entirely possible an electronic version ommited this map. According to the FR Atlas, book version, it's about 40 miles from Bloodstone Pass. Since both BP and the Assassin's Citadel are in the mountains, the actual distance will be somewhat further. A more accurate picture of what's going on is possible if we remeber that BP is in the middle of a mountain range which is running more or less directly SW to NE. Go NE from BP about 40 miles and place the citadel on the south side of that same mountain range somewhere between the foothills and the summit. As you can see, without specialized magical assistance, it is not possible to get an army to the citadel nor is it particulary desireable. The Assassin's Run would require an almost complete redesign for it to be useful as a large scale combat encounter. I recommend a stealthy party, leave the tanks at home. It's more fun that way with all kinds of possibilities. In fact, it could be home to an entire encyclopedia of traps. Good stuff that. Tyranny, PTL
