Map Tiles as monthly supplements

Free RPG Maps website, a division of Gamer Printshop is now built and ready to use. This is a subscription and sales service for the printing and shipping of map tile sets of typical terrain for fantasy, modern and many other genres of RPG games. All maps come with square, hex or gridless for VT use.

Each month we will be producing a new map tile set of Endless Terrain Battlemaps. These are full color 11 x 17 laminated map tiles printed double sided with geomorphic edges on all four sides. This means that any map in the set can be placed adjacent to another and the terrain graphics match perfectly, though the interiors of each map are unique. Thus a set contains 8 complete unique terrain layouts.

In addition to the basic map tile set, each month we will be producing 2 free map tiles that geomorphically fit the current month's set. The first one is already posted. The downloads are accessed from the forum page - though its free you have to sign up to become a member of the community forum.

The free maps come as a sliced multi-page PDF ready to print on your home inkjet printer in 1" square grid or hex grid. We also have 100 ppi and 50 ppi JPG full maps for use in Virtual Terrain applications. Remember a different free map will be available during the first 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks of each month.

For those interested in a map tile subscription, we offer the 2 free maps as a bonus add-on to your normal Endless Terrain Battlemap subscription at the same cost as a standard 8 map tile set for only $19.95 plus shipping.

We offer shipping rates to US, Canada and International still very reasonable.

Here's a glimpse at the first free map download from the site:

Thanks, I truly appreciate it. Spread the word please, this is a brand new site, and I'm getting more SPAM than members at the moment - twice a day, I'm cleaning up SPAM.

We really want to serve the entire RPG market.

I think either you personally need to make alot more "free" maps, or you need to advertise on more websites to draw in more cartographers. I'd love to see this project take off. Its a definite win for you with the Map printing services.

Well played old man. B-)

Well I have a full page ad, and 4 free map tiles in Pathways magazine, issue 2. Pathways being Rite Publishing's 3pp support magazine for Pathfinder - its a free download so perhaps worth checking out.

Right now money is tight while I get this project off the ground. I have 200+ members to my site forum, and evidence of hundreds of downloads of the free maps. And this is just started. I create 2 free maps each month, and 10 free map objects pertaining to the monthly maps, so before long, I will have lots of free maps to offer.

My goal of course is to sell monthly subscriptions and one off sales through my Ecommerce site. I will soon have printed map sets available at the Paizo Store.

With my regular threads here at EnWorld, RPG.net, Paizo Messageboard I regularly update them. This project has only been running for 2 months, so will become known after a while I am sure. When some capital starts coming in, I will then advertise more, but as stated, money is tight for now.

I have plans for another map product. I am creating hand-drawn maps of common sites used in RPGs in the form of a complete medieval village. Initially I am working on a tavern/inn called the Blue Ox. I have plans on creating a smithy, a general store, village home, farmer home, hedge wizards house, a small temple and others. Eventually I will post the village map with all included mapped locations. I will more than likely expand to other sites of interest as well, all being hand-drawn maps.

While I will certainly sell these from my site, I am looking to create products that can be sold through RPGNow, and DriveThruRPG. My map tiles sets since they are printed products can't really be sold through those sites, as those are dedicated to PDF sales.
