The last map I created was a recreation of North America during the late Cretacous Period (circa 65 mybp) It is actually a pretty cool map.... shallow inland sea smack dab in the middle of USA and Canada, the West Rockies are just a smallish group of island chains and the east is a broad n-s plain flanked by massive mountain chain thru-out it all.... and it has a tropical to temperate climate... Alot of fun to make too.... copied straight out of a geology book....and to scale too!

Last night I added a globe map to my world.

In the geography section of my site when you mouse over the names of certain sections portions of the globe map are pointed out to show where it is.

It's a fairly primative CC2 map.

CC2 makes great maps for up to a certain level of complexity...

But I once tried to map out an entire city with it and the program got seriously bogged down. To the point where it would take minutes between each click of the mouse as it redrew thousands of objects over and over again.

I don't know if this will help much...but it has quite a few decent relief maps....albeit in greyscale...
