Maps, Cities, and much more?

I have been very curious on what pieces of software are good use while trying to create a good pdf document.....such as page layout and graphics.....also on which software is one of the best but easiest to make cartography, city maps world maps.....and so on....any info will be great.

*i do have CC2 and i dont realy like it.

Fractal mapper at www.nbos.com is good for making quick maps of continents and countries. I've seen some pretty good cities too but haven't tried to make any. It exports to BMP and JPG formats.

Fractal Mapper gets my vote to. Ive said more about it in other threads here over the last couple weeks, so i wont go into it again. For .PDF get a shareware utility PDF995 here: http://www.pdf995.com/

Fractal Mapper has a lot of cool features besides just the maps. Look into it. Best mapper ive used for the price.

We at Twin Rose are working towards city generation and editing, which we hope will be ready before too long. PDF layout will be added in the future, but currently even printing to Acrobat distiller will produce a nice document.
