The Tithe of Iron An old shrine of a god of smiths, the place has fallen into ruin through disuse, the old smith-priests long gone from this world. The shrine rang with sacred clangor – anvil hymns and forge prayers echoing with song hammers on iron. The smith-priests were iron veined artisans who sang as they shaped the world. But time is a rusting blade, and corruption has seeped into the shrine’s bones. Moss coils like smoke through the ruined stone, no fires burn within. One sentinel remains – the Bell Golem, wrought from sacred metals and bound by the rhythms of the smiths. It slumbers in silence. Intruders awaken its purpose – with each step, the bells toll. They sing a song of fury, echoes of a god who once shaped stars from steel. Beneath the shrine are a very small set of dungeons – where magical traps guard ancient treasures. Within is a natural grotto with an ancient anvil/altar where sacrifices to the god of smiths are beaten and destroyed. And beyond that the vault itself, sealed for ages. The floor of the vault is covered in broken and rusted weapons and armour, all watched over by a massive statue of a mighty smith-priest. But the chest of the has been ripped open and the heart removed. If someone were to reassemble the heart, they could unlock the crafting secrets still held by the artifact.
