Treat this as a charge attack by the beast.</p><p></p><p>Improved Critical (Ex): The beast of Caerbannog threatens a critical on a roll of 18-20.</p><p></p><p>Throat-Rip (Ex): If the beast hits an opponent with a critical hit, it has ripped the foe's throat out. A creature struck must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + damage dealt) or die. Even if the save is successful, the victim is immediately reduced to 0 hit points and begins dying.</p><p></p><p>A character killed in this fashion can still be returned to life with a resurrection spell, but not with raise dead.</p><p></p><p>Haste (Su): The beast is affected by a permanent haste spell. This grants the beast one extra partial action, either before or after its regular action. It also gives the beast a +4 bonus to its AC (already included in the stat block above). The beast loses the +4 AC bonus anytime it would lose its dodge bonus.
