Response to Frowning: I don't know, It's just a frown. The skill point issue is relatively minor, I have a much larger problem with non-standard BAB's or Saves. Since you seem to want these blokes to be the masters of applied force and leverage, here are a set of changes that might tickle your fancy. Grant proficiency in whichever Exotic Martial arts type weapons you might like. At 1st lvl grant "Martial Art Weapon: Unarmed" At 3rd,6th,9th,etc grant "Martial Art Weapon:(Choose from List). Now instead of having the unarmed damage step up, have the Martial Arts Weapon damage scale up. Why, Simple. We have a big unarmed fighter, but I want a to fear the nunchuka fighter at least as much. And I would certainly fear the dual nunchuka guys doing 2d10 damage. And the class become the perfect intro into the Weapon Master Pclass, which should be about interesting weapons. Rulish Comments: Stunning Fist is in the feat list, do you want this to be the Feat (which sucks) or the monk class ability. Two-Weapon fighting is in the feat list. Note that Flurry of Blows is just an improved version of Two-Weapon fighting and that they don't stack. Same deal with Ambidexterity. Martial arts attack don't have an off-hand. May wish to restrict the chooseable weapons with Weapon Focus and Weapon Finesse. Possible High lvl special abilities. First off let me state that I belive that every class should receive something cool at the upper lvls if for no other reason than to encourage single classing. Fast movement: Monk speed less than 60ft is non supernatural(at least in a human). +10ft or +20ft wouldn't be out of line. Ability increases: A +2 inherent bonus to Str, Dex, or Con would be worth waiting for and potentially in line with the idea of "blood sweat and weight lifting" Skill Mastery: Taking 10 with Climb, Balance, Jump, Tumble, Swim is _cool_ Damage Reduction: Talking about barbarian DR 1/- or 2/-. Weapon Specialization: Having it as a High lvl abilty would pacify the "only fighter's can WS" people while still being something to look forward to. One last Opinion: I don't like the uneven feat progression and the fact that you are gaining feats as fast as a fighter till level 15 (when it slows down). I strongly suggest you slow down the feat progression earlier rather than later. As it is they only end up one feat behind if you include Improved Unarmed Attack as a feat. The feats more than anything are what should be toned slowed down to balance it out. I suggest 2 5 8 11 14 17 20. With special abilities at 10 13 16 19 and perhaps the damage increases on some of the lvls' in between and either exotic weapons or the ability to use more of your Weapons as "Martial Arts Weapons(as above)" you would have a class where almost every lvl had a widget without being over the top. Anywho, I like the basic form alot and wish you great luck. Edit: Removed Smilies
