It looks like imitation James Gunn, but competently done and with some clear chemistry in the cast (often somewhat lacking in Marvel efforts, sometimes critically so), so that's not actually a bad thing. I mean, it's a slightly risky thing because Gunn is still working and in this genre, so you're likely to come across as slightly inferior, but it's definitely not as ill-advised as a lot of the writing approaches on recent Marvel movies. Also I see the three screenwriters are a guy who has written on many mediocre movies (being one of three screenwriters on Thor: Ragnarok being the only real positive there, though sheer experience is not to be ignored), but also the guy who created and was showrunner and main writer on Beef (pretty excellently written Netflix drama with comedic elements), and before that wrote on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (hell yeah), and someone else who wrote for Beef. So I'm guessing it's the latter two that are elevating this above other recent Marvel efforts (which it definitely seems to be based on this trailer). Longer than that even. Steven Yeun was originally in the role but scheduling issues forced him out (seems to be no bad blood about it though). I was definitely expecting to be pretty bored by this trailer, as I definitely was by the older Captain America: New World Order trailer ( EDIT: since renamed Brave New World, I see, and with a new trailer, which is better but only ok), but actually, based on the trailer yeah I'd watch this.
