Mary Poppins meets Peter Pan D20?

A suffusion of yellow
I was watching the latest Peter Pan movie yesterday, after having earlier had a conversation about Mary Poppins and it got me thinking wouldn't it be cool to play in a setting which mixed those elements (maybe with a dash of Wizard of Oz, and a taste of Dickens) to round it out.

Has such a setting ever been contemplated before? With classes that include Whimsical Nanny, Mystical Chimneysweep, Lost Boy, Pirate and Stuffy Bank Manager! Could it work?

After making a deal with a dark fairy Hook (aka The Ripper) has found a way to travel into the past and is in Whitechapel killing the mothers of the Lost Boys before the Lost Boys can be born! He hasn't found the mother of Peter Pan yet, but that is coming.

Fortunately his activities are noticed by the local 'Sweeper', a high level initiate into the Bortherhood of Sweepers who contacts his good friend Mary Poppins who recognising Hook sets out to locate Peter Pan and the Lost Boys (the PCs) and save their mothers!

As for repressed Sexuality - isn't that what DnDs' all about!

An alternate "League of Extrodinary Gentlemen" (Drawn from musicals set in London.)

Now find a way to include "Artful Dodger" and 'Professor Henry Higgins"

You might want to give Castle Falkenstine a try. Not quite what you're talking about as I recall it... But it wouldn't take much to shift it to that direction.
