Message: <blockquote data-quote="ukgpublishing" data-source="post: 2011276" data-attributes="member: 18247">Master Plan Shrines    This review may seem similar to the others of this series as they have lots in common.         Miniatures are almost one of the corner stones of gaming these days.  The d20 market and system has done well to support miniatures and to further their use in game.  Many companies have been producing paper alternatives to minis and now it seems companies are producing the maps and floor plans that go well with minis.      Shrines is a program that runs the pdfs. It is best if it is unzipped in its own folder as most of the rooms are their own pdf file. The program previews them for you and allows you to select them in full size as full color or black and white. The program is easy to use, and allows for one to quickly see what is available and to get to the one you are looking for. However, there is a thick border on the left that makes some of the writing almost impossible to read without highlighting the text.    The zip file this comes in is huge. That is no surprise as there are plenty of full color pictures, but still the thirty six meg zip file will make for a long down load for people on dial up. It unzips into many smaller files as the maps each have their own file and then there is also a program. But it does create its own folder which is a really nice addition.    There are six different shrines presented here. The shrines are not mapped out. There are many rooms and hallways, but it is up to the DM to decide how he wants them to be arranged. Each room and corridor is done in black and white as well as full color. The detail on this is very good, they even show light sources and it shows shadows very well. There are even unlit versions that show full detail of each room and hallway.      I would have liked to see sample floor plans for the shrines instead of just letting the DM do it. The price though is very good for this level of detail and usability. Obviously the shrines can be mixed and matched with ease to create new versions or one super crypt.</blockquote>
