With so many licensed role playing games using the D&D 5th Edition OGL, it is a breath of fresh air when a popular franchise like the Masters of the Universe RPG uses Cortex Prime instead (a Cortex variant rule set powered the Firefly RPG).
At Power-Con today, a virtual convention for She-Ra and He-Man fans Mattel announced a Masters of the Universe RPG.
The game will have a core book, a digital companion and toolset along with a community content creation and sharing platform.
Legends of Grayskull will also have an organised play program which will give players the chance to connect in a living story.
Adam Bradford, Executive Producer and Vice President of Tabletop at Fandom, told press;
Mattel has signed a multi-year deal with Fandom to manage adventures in Eternia with Legends of Grayskull, and it is a project that is part of the company’s Masters of the Universe reboot.
Also, remember, that earlier this year, Cool Mini or Not (CMON) announced a board game for the Masters of the Universe. So this is great news for fans.
