Re I just watched Matrix-Reloaded today. I enjoyed the movie, but not as much as the first due to familiarity. The first one was fresh, the second one seemed contrived at many points. Good points: 1. Special effects are unbelievable. 2. Fight choreography had to be the best I have ever seen. 3. Jada Pinkett, I think she is lovely. Enjoyed her character, hope they have more of her in the 3rd one. 4. The twins: Awsome powers and very cool looking. 5. Interesting twists in the story. Leaves you guessing, though I feel have an idea of where it is going. Bad points: 1. Alot of the dialogue is spoken in a manner that does not blend well with the story. It is almost, actually it is exactly, like the characters are just showing up to listen to some omniscent figure tell them what they do not know in condescending, pseudo-mystical manner. Not particularly entertaining delivery of dialogue. 2. The Twins were underutilized. I would have liked to see more of them. 3. Not enough development of the relationship between Morpheus and Niobe. 4. Persephone wanting a kiss for location of keymaster was just stupid, IMO. Just didn't seem to fit the story at all. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I will definitely be seeing Matrix 3. This is not a series of movies that I would watch over and over again in the same way as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. The delivery of the story is much too dry for my tastes, some of it due to dry acting by Keanu and some due to poor writing. My predictions for the Matrix 3: 1. Neo will sacrifice himself to save the Matrix and humanity. 2. We will find out the machines and humans live in a symbiosis that preserves both. 3. We will find out Agent Smith is a rogue program out to destroy humanity. He will be made into a devil figure. Or maybe they'll have a couple of kids sitting on a couch laughing after Neo defeats the machine because they've won the great video game they were playing. That's when we start hearing stories about assassination attempts made against the Wachowski brothers for ending the films this way...)
