Basically, it is not total darkness.  Anyone can still see in it, but they do get a 20% miss chance (Devil Sight would remove that for you).  This is good to nulify sneak attacks and to add a little more protection.The only feat you could take is Quicken Spell-like Ability (Eldritch Blast) from the 3.5 Monster Manual.  It will allow you to cast Eldritch Blast like a Quickened spell 3/day (but only once a round like usual).Technically speaking you really would never be able to apply Quicken Spell-like Ability to Eldritch Blast w/o going Epic first, because EB (according to Complete Arcane) is equal to a spell whose level is half of the Warlocks level.  That means a Warlock 20 would have an EB equivanent to a 10th level spell.  And Quicken Spell-like ability can only be applied to spell-like abilities that are 10th level or higher.  There is some errata floating around that I think refutes this, but not sure where it is on these boards...</blockquote>
