Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pax" data-source="post: 1077512" data-attributes="member: 6875">Here's how it works (sans pagenumbers, sorry my 3.0 PHB is not readily to hand atm):Step One: Take your Base Attack Bonus -- ONLY your Base Attack Bonus.  Sum the BAB for ALL your classes, prestige classes, and so on.  Do NOT add Strength bonusses, Magic Weapon bonusses, bonusses from Feats, Racial abilities, Spells, or any other source.  Just Base Attack Bonus.Step Two: You get one attack at your current BAB; don't forget to also add all other attack bonusses you have (strength, magic weapon, and so on).Step Three: Subtract 5 from the current BAB.... if the number is +1 or higher, go to step Two.... if the number is +0 or lower, go to step FourStep Four: Your full attack has reached an end.That's it, in a nutshell.  So, form BAB +0 to +5, you get one attack.  From BAB +6 to +10, you get two attacks.  From BAB +11 to +15, you get three, and from BAB +16 and up, you get four.Oh, for Monks fighting Unarmed, it's a bit different.  Only count unarmed attack bonus (not totwl BAB) in step one ... and only subtract three, in step three.Essentially, what you can do as a shortcut is, total up your BAB, and take the highest number.  Look up on the Fighter table for the level that matches that BAB.  See how many attacks are listed there?  You get that many, and those Base Attack levels.</blockquote>
