MBA research paper: roleplaying industry

As some of you may or may not know, my name is Paul King. I am in my last semester of my MBA at Gannon University, located in Erie, PA, USA. One of my classes this semester is Research in Organizational Behavior, which is the class I am doing my research paper in. I have my professor's approval to look at the roleplaying industry. I have not, as of yet, narrowed my topic down. However, I would like to know if the industry professionals out on this board (I know this is primarily d20-esque folks, but I also would likek to hit the GURPS/FASA/White Wolf/Palladium/etc folks as well), would be willing to help with this project...more than likely in the form of surveys.

I will probably also be looking for GM and player input as well, but won't know more until I actually narrow the project down...last night was our first class.

I always thought that the D20 community would make a fascinating subject for a MBA thesis, actually.

I would pick that topic were I pursuing such a thing.

It's like a corporate giants, except very, very small.

I mean, you get mergers, and competition, and even a few unethical things going on. It's quite fascinating.

I'd love to be involved. When I was finishing my econ major I actually did a similar project -- an 80 page paper for my Industrial Organization class. The page limit was 20 pages, but I still turned in 80... it was then that I knew I really should be working in gaming professionally!
