One important item missing from the Mecha Crusade is information designed to help balance the Mecha with normal creatures, like those from the Monster Manual or the d20 Modern rulebook. They are balanced with each other, but when you bring in critters from other sources, it kinda bottoms out. For combat situations this is a major problem.
While Mecha Crusade is a Mecha based setting, not all GMs are going to do all Mecha all the time. How many EXP points do you give to a person in a Mecha for wiping out an infantry platoon, or for slaying a Dragon.
As it clearly states, a man in a Mecha could rip a man on foot in half. Mecha pilots gain massive bonuses to strength, HP, armor class, Hardness, and their weapons require the proverbial “Bucket ‘o’ Dice”
I’m about to use Mecha Crusade as a component in a campaign I am going to run. I would be highly appreciate if anyone would give me ideas, or even better yet, if anyone who has played it (Player or DM) could give me advice.
